Tell the FDA: Set and enforce fruit juice standards that keep consumers safe

Dear FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb,

As consumers, we should be able to trust that the food we're buying is safe. But alarming new research from Consumer Reports shows that concerning amounts of heavy metals are showing up in popular juice brands.

I urge the FDA to act now by setting stricter limits for inorganic arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury. Furthermore, the FDA should set a long-term goal of having no measurable amounts of heavy metals in fruit juice in order to protect consumers.

Sincerely,
