Make elections about big ideas, not big checks

As we speak, 83 percent of primary elections are being won by the better-fundraising candidate. But elections shouldn't be about big checks––they should be about big ideas. We need to see candidates who are focused on winning over average Americans, not large corporations and billionaire special interests.

It's time to put an end to big-money politics. The Senate is working on reforming our campaign finance system, but they're leaving out a key component: empowering small donors. We need to let them know that this is unacceptable -- we cannot have true reform unless everyone's voices are weighted equally.

Tell your lawmakers to support legislation that empowers everyday voters over special interests.
